Dear Eve
We came across your article titled “Twittering about nothing” on Digital Life today. Although not many will care about people’s mundane update, some of the kei po (inquisitive) types might have nothing to do and like to go around checking what others are telling the world.
In any case, we are certainly not on any “world stage”, but we use Twitter quite a lot and have integrated Twitter into our blog site. We learn this after watching how people like Mr Brown uses Twitter.
It is quite fun to see that we can automatically tell our 670+ followers whenever we publish new articles on this blog.
Also, whenever people leave comments on any of our articles, the comment goes out as a tweet message to people.
And if any of our followers wants to publicise any of our messages, she does a retweet and the message goes to her followers.
There is also a cool way to search for information. You can check out Twitter’s search to see trends. Try words like #singapore, #petition and #activism.
Twitter is a great communication tool as far as we are concerned,. And thanks for your article because that will keep some people from getting onto this new media and learning how to use it.
If only we can figure out how to better use Plurk…
